OK so for about a month or two now my arm has been falling asleep when i sleep. Let me be more specific, it started with just my hands being completely numb when I slept. I helped that by running cool water on my hands when I got up to use the restroom. It slowly progressed to hands being numb and then pain in the wrist/hand/arm. The pain lasts all day, as does the numbness. The doctors just say its because I am prego and told me to take tylenol 3 after I went back in the 3rd time for it. Wrist braces don't help, switching sides to sleep on doesn't help, medicine doesn't help, I am at a lose as to what to do. This is seriously messing with my sleep and I am supposed to fly across the Pacific next saturday and am worried about the effects of that flight on my body with this going on. Any one have any suggestions?
Re: What is wrong with me!!?!?!?
It probably is inflamed nerves.. that's why carpal tunnel happens so often in pregnancy. Try some tylenol and maybe icing the area where the nerves causing the pain seem to be originating from and see if you can bring down the swelling.

This sounds a lot like my carpal tunnel. If you can afford it go to an acupuncturist, sometimes schools will offer discounts. It runs in my family, and the only relief we ever got was through acupuncture.
Also, sometimes improving the circulation helps, so cold water is a bad idea. Only wash your hands with warm or hot water.
Stretching helps too:

I hope this helps. I had to get treated for 3 months to fix mine, but it was not pregnancy related. Good News: I hear that pregnancy related carpal tunnel gets better after birth.
I did chiropractic treatment as well, it gives mild relief. If its covered by insurance do it, but I still swear that acupuncture was the best thing I ever did for my carpal tunnel.
