awww the heartbeat :)

in 2nd Trimester

so i went to the doctor yesterday i am 15 weeks and my sis went with me! we get there and i was thinkin a reg exam as in just checkin the "down there" but no all they did was use the doppler thing and listen to the heartbeat omg thats was so freakin awesome :) i just laid there and smiled listenin the whole time when i looked over at my sis she was crying it was so cute i didnt know she was gonna get emotional!

   it was very nice and reassuring to hear it seeing how the week before i had a freak out moment cuz i was feeling so normal i just started crying and was like what if something happend my hubby got me settled back down and said not to stress cuz it was bad for the baby!

 now the only thing im bummed about is that we didnt know we were gonna get to hear it so my hubby didnt go with me he stayed at work and so far nothin is real to him so i feel bad and sad that he didnt get to hear it cuz i know it would have been his moment to experience it! overall im happy and glad that my lil baby is still in there nice and cozy :)

    Congrats on a great appt! They will check the hb every appt now, so make sure H goes to the next one :)

    thanks !!!! oh he is def goin no matter what next month bcuz we all want to know what we are having and we CANT HARDLY WAIT  Smile  so next month will be even better he'll get to hear the heartbeat and find out what he's having, its a 2 in 1 app.Smile

    The sound of that little heart beating is the best sound in the world. I got tired of not hearing it in between doctors appointments so I bought my own doppler off of ebay. I've been listening to my baby whenever I want for the past two days (I just got it). It definitely was interesting and a little challenging to find it, but DH has been helping me and he seems to be able to find it within a minute or two.

    yes i dont know what im gonna do it just makes me want to listen to it all the time now!!!   about the doppler things where can i find them at, other than ebay/internet and whats the price range they run i tried to look up some on the web and they were all like 700 bucks yikes! i know there are cheaper ones out there i just cant find them i really want one for my dh and me. oh and whats a good brand ?!!!

    I bought the Sonoline B 3MHz off of Ebay for $60 (that was including shipping. I bought it Tuesday, and got it on Friday).

    They sell them at various stores (like Babies R Us, but they only have 1) but they aren't that good from what I have read. And most on the box say you shouldn't expect to hear anything until 24ish weeks. The Sonoline should work by 12 weeks.

    Here's the link to where I got my Sonaline B. I love it and use it quite a bit, but not as much now that I fell movement. It is still fun to be able to feel and listen though!
