I know this has been posted... and I've read up on the old posts. I've been spotting since yesterday... and it's not found in my panties but on the toliet paper when I wipe. It's there today too and I know it could mean many things. My doctor told me yesterday not to worry yet and track it through the weekend if it turns to red blood obviously that may not be a good sign. They said it could be many things. And to call back on Monday..
I've talked to the ladies in my family and a few of them had the brown spotting around week 5-6 and had very healthy babies... and so did my mother in law. I'm obviously a little worried but just taking it easy through the weekend. I stopped working out for now because I was still taking cycling classes since I did prior to getting pregnant.
Now my question is if you had spotting... how far along were you and is everything okay now??

I know how scary that is no matter what color it is, or what the doctor says. When your pregnant NOTHING is supposed to come out of there, right?
I started spotting yesterday also. Lots of brown/backish goop. I called the doctoer and she said that as long as its not red we should be fine. It is most likely that your blood vessels in there are expanded and any friction, or straining could have caused a little bleeding and it is now coming out.
I was freaked out because I had my daughter 7 months ago and never had any bleeding or spotting the entire time.
It happend a lot and dont panic,it just makes it more stressful.
P.s. dont be hard on yourself, i checked my underwear every single time i went to the bathroom the entire 9 months with my little girl (even when i was in labor!! ha ha)
Wow you ladies just made me feel ALOT better. You have no idea. I've been worried and my DH just tells me to relax but it's hard not to. I know he's nervous too. I haven't cramped or seen red blood. It's crazy... drinking a lot of fluids and using the bathroom non stop and having to see that brown spotting! Hopefully it will end soon! Good luck to you all too.

Here is my little "scare" story ..
J and I were relaxing on the couch one sunday ... I got up to use the bathroom and started GUSHING blood ... I was just over 5 weeks ... I of course RAN to the ER ... they checked everything from my cervix to an ultrasound ..
Cervix was closed ... GREAT!
Blood work looks normal ... GREAT!
Ultrasound showed ONE baby ... GREAT!
Ultrasound also showed a large subchoronic bleed between the placenta and my uterus ... but baby looked just fine
They have been monitoring it on and off ever since - I get brown spotting every now and then but I was TERRIFIED I was miscarrying - there was so much blood but no cramping or anything
Here we are 9 weeks tomorrow and baby is looking better and better every visit
) Get to see the little one again on the 11th for our dating ultrasound!
Hang in there - sometimes things just happen but they are not always to be scared about! Our little critter is a trooper - already making mommy worry!
