sex and babies (mildly TMI story + poll)

Ben and I were talking last night about how our sex life has changed since before we had the boys or I was pregnant (I was huge and uncomfortable very early so we virtually stopped at like 5 months). Our conversation went something like this:

Me: "Those days when we used to get it on all the time seem so far away - like impossibly far."
DH: "I know. I know that at one point we had sex a lot, but it's like a past life."
Me: "We're like what - once or twice a month right now?"
DH: "Yeah. You know, I used to hear someone say they got it three times a week and think, poor guy! Now I hear that and I'm like LIAR!!! No one has sex that much!"

    We're going for once a week but usually it's more like once every 10 days. I am typically not in the mood/too tired, but I have to say if I let myself "go there" I am always happy afterwards. And really, how long does it take? KWIM!

    We're getting better.  In the first few months I think it happened about twice, maybe.  But we had a good streak lately.....STTN for bebbeh is key!!!

    The poll looks like it's closed so I could vote, but we are probably in the once a week category, although DH probably tries about 4 times during the week. I'm just too tired during the week between work and the baby. If we can do it before the whole nightime routine starts, it's better because once I'm in bed feeding K, all I want to do is go to bed. Plus, I'm just now getting to that point where it's hurting less during, but still hurts like a b*$#h after. When does that feeling go away!?

    I love this, it describes my DH to a t!

    We're currently TTC but at the same time going through a rather lengthy dry spell due to some health issues my DH is having....
