DS has been bathing in the regular bath tub using a bath seat for the past 4 months or so. He's always loved it. Lately, he has figured out he can pull himself out of the bath seat and stand. He's incredibly strong and it's hard to get him back in. Any tips/tricks? Is it time to move to a non-stick mat?
FWIW, he's trying to pull out of everything these days. Carts, carseats, high chair, etc. Obviously he's tightly strapped in, so he can't do it. Not so much with the bath seat.
Re: Bath Time Issues
not sure if this is an option for you, but when Ava left the baby tub in the kitchen sink, and wanted to stand the whole time... we threw her in the laundry tub. There was nothing for her to hit her head on, and she loved it.
Once she was big enough for the tub, that was next. (they do have those inflatable ducks for the tub - I wonder if that would stop the standing???)
Mine have been standing for 6 months now. I finally, FINALLY got Lily to sit last week. With bubbles! Adding bubbles to the tub fascinates her and she sits and plays in them.
Still working on Sophia. Sigh.
But yes, we do have a non-slip mat down.
(We tried the duck and they climbed right out.)

I'd get him out of that bath seat ASAP. Caroline loves being able to crawl around in the tub. It took a few days of telling her to "SIT YOUR HINEY BUTT DOWN", but now she totally gets it.
I'd go for it.
This doesn't work for us. Sophia would never get a bath, and we bathe them every single night. She knows what sit down means but won't do it in the tub. Maybe someday!
