NEED to vent and I don't have much time.....

UGH!!!  ARRRRGH!!!

Ok, I already feel better doing that.

Today, DH and I are throwing our once-a-year party.  I hate this thing.... I get so stressed out and even though I know no one will care if there are no peanuts out or if the ice is in the freezer and not in a bowl by the drinks, I care, so it must be done.

DH has been NO HELP this year at all.  He's been so wrapped up in the NFL draft that I find myself yelling at him every 10 minutes to get off his @ss and help me!!!

Finally, our friends have known about this party since mid-February.  The party starts in exactly 90 minutes and 23 people have STILL not RSVP'd and 5 people have already bailed on us this morning because they "couldn't find a sitter."  Uhm.... we never said kids couldn't come and besides you' ve had 2 and a half  months to find a sitter and you couldn't???  Yeah right!

OK, I have to get on my hands and knees and scrub my bathroom, then I have to get ready...then I have to make my bed...then the guest room bed... then prepare the rest of the food.  Kill me NOW!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

  • Hopefully by now you are having an adult beverage and relaxing..

    my hints to entertaining:

    1. do not mop your floors before a party, no one will notice and you are going to mop it afterward anyway. So just wait that way you can enjoy the party.

    2. those who don't rsvp are just rude! you will never change them

    3. people can find the ice or they will ask.

    4. if you forget something, and someone needs it..they will ask.

    5. no one will be a harder judger than you are on yourself..ease up!
