Snapfish is usually a little cheaper & quicker, their regular prints are good, their other products are just ok. I like them because you can share the albums & people can make their own prints easily.
Id choose Shutterfly for anything else though. Their photobooks are amazing as well as their posters & other types of novelties.
Make sure before you use either you look them up on retailmenot.com to get coupon codes!

I agree with MaineMommy- I use Snapfish for regular prints, and it's where I upload all of the digital photos off of my camera. If I'm making a photobook, or cards (for instance our Christmas cards this year), I use Shutterfly.

We are finally printing wedding pictures after over a year and half...oops (our photographer was a friend of ours who did the pictures for free, but left editing and printing to us. DH is a graphic designer so is good with Photoshop). We are getting 4x6's of most things, but some enlargements to fill up frames and to give to family. Maybe a photobook for parents, they might enjoy that.
And, of course, with the baby coming, lots of snapshots for parents, but probably some bigger pics and special things.
We could always do one account for 4x6 quick prints and the other for other things.

Thanks, ladies!
We LOVE shutterfly. You can set up your own website, add pictures and it emails to anyone who subscribes. Also, it's easy to order prints, they can be mailed or you can pick them up at your neighborhood Target without shipping charges. We did our wedding album through Shutterfly, while a bit expensive, it is AMAZING. I've also done monthly books for DS for his first year. I've never had a problem with Shutterfly.

For books, I actually prefer Blurb.com. Everything is fully customizable and I believe it's a better price as far as page count goes. Every book I've made with Blurb was gorgeous and very professional looking. Better than what I made with either Snapfish or Shutterfly in my opinion. They also have a program where you can upload your entire blog and just make it a book.
For things like cards, announcments, etc, I think either Shutterfly or Snapfish is fine. I used the collage option from Snapfish to make 4x6 collages for my wedding invitations and thank yous and they turned out great and weren't any more expensive than a regular 4x6 print.
I prefer Shutterfly. I feel like they have a lot more deals that I can actually use, and the prints, no matter what size, are very high quality. The photobooks are really cute, and I even made a calendar for my Oma with all of the family birthdays on it.
I prefer Shutterfly, the print quality is a lot better IMO. I also love the share sites, and photo books, and when I don't have time to design, their cards. They have great sales, and deals too.
Snapfish is cheaper for the most part, but the quality just isn't as good to me.
I've never used Snapfish, but I have all my pictures uploaded to shutterfly so I probably won't use snapfish. I have no complaints about shutterfly. I got all my wedding and home decor pictures through them and have always been happy. They have websites to share also, the photobooks are great and I was thinking of doing the individual scrapbook pages for the baby (since I'm sure time will be a factor). It'll be so nice to just upload the pics, click and drag them on to the pre-made pages and have them sent to me. Another favorite of mine is the multi opening posters. One of the gifts from the wedding to my mom and MIL. They had multiple pictures of the family on one big poster. One frame. Done.
snapfish for photos, calendar, annoucements. I've been using them for YEARS and love them. Before you order from them though, google coupon codes for snapfish. There are a ton out there.

This, this, this. I cannot recommend blurb.com enough for books. I made our wedding book on blurb and it turned out great. A suggestion though...just don't upload photos onto a white background and call it a day. Rather, choose different backgrounds, and insert text of your memories from each picture. Soooo cool.
I use Shutterfly. I used to use Snapfish but didn't like the quality. Now, I mostly use Shutterfly to post and send out electronically to people - but for prints, I go through Costco. It's super cheap, nice quality and they mail it out too!

Might I suggest another option: Heritage Makers. www.TomorrowsTreasuredMemories.com
FYI...I know MANY professional photographers that use Adorama .
