So I am having my second, and it is a boy, my first was a girl. A lot of people have been asking what I want or where I'm registered, and I thought it was a little wierd to do a registry for a second baby, but I have had a couple people that say it would be nice so they knew what we need for this baby...
What do you think about a registry for baby #2?? If I do it I definately wont be telling everyone where Im registered and broadcasting it, but for the handful of people that would really like it it would be there, and I could just tell them when they ask..???
Re: What is your honest opinion
I would do one to get the registry completion discount, but I think it's tacky to register for a second baby.
I made registries to keep track of things I needed for baby and things I wanted. Naturally they're a lot smaller, and I don't tell people about them, but I've found them useful for tracking what I still need to buy and what cute extras I can fit in my budget.
As far as telling people, only one person has asked (and I thought it was weird). I told her, but honestly, I wouldn't have made registries at all just for gifts. Just say you have most of what you need except clothes or diapers or whatever. If you want it as a personal tracker, though, I have found it really useful.

Isn't this hypocritical, or just a confession? You'd do one, but it's tacky?
Or were you trying to say, you'd do one, you just wouldn't share it publicly? What about people who continuously ask?
I have a registry because:
1. My friends are throwing me a shower. It's not tacky in my circle of friends- it's quite the norm as we're mostly all on our second babies...LOL.
2. All of our family is out of state and want to buy for this baby just as much as they did for the first one. They have no idea what to get so a registry helps them- and they can ship the items free to store.
3. It helps keep me organized on things we need/want and the completion code is nice.
