What shampoo/body wash do you use for your DC? Where do you buy it and how much does it cost?
After this J&J lawsuit, I'm rethinking what I use with DD. I'd like to stay on the "organic" side, but I also don't want to pay $30-40/bottle. I'd be willing to pay $20 if it will last me a while (DD takes a bath every night). I had been using California baby, stopped, and just restarted but I think it's causing her to break out in eczema. We use the "yes to carrots" brand for after bath rubdown, anyone recommend the shampoo?
Re: Shampoo/body wash
Both kids use Suave for kids. I buy the white bottle which is no dyes or perfumes. Its cheap, only a few dollars per bottle.
I tried Burt's Bees for awhile but I just can't stand their products. I want to love them, everything looks so great but they just don't work for us. Layna's hair was always nasty and she even cried over the lotion. No idea why, she loves putting on lotion but she hated that stuff.
Aveeno makes good stuff, I think.
we use Earth's Best baby (a devision or Jason's organics). It's less than 10 bucks for a biggish bottle of shampoo body wash and they have bubble bath too, I'm really sensitive to scents and all of the products have been great. They have a super awesome thick body cream as well as an every day lotion.
babies r us also usually has it on sale.
J&J owns Aveeno, just so ya know.
We use Nature's Baby Organics and California Baby. If you only tried the normal scented stuff by CA Baby it may be worthwhile to give the unscented a shot, we've had good luck with it.

Emily has developed a rash from Aveeno, Method, and Burts Bees(my skin hates their stuff too). California Baby was fine but I just never felt like it made my kids smell clean. I didn't want them to have a scent but even after washing I felt like they smelled like wet dog!
Emily has eczema and it gets bad with milk, egg and nuts. The only product that I've used on her with no issues is Grandma El's Tear-Free Gentle Baby Shampoo. It's ~$12 a bottle but it's very concentrated and lasts forever. I used to dilute it and put it in a foaming pump for DH but I finally trained him not to use so damn much of it . It has a light scent. It has enough softening in it that I can still use it on Abby too which is important since we always give them a bath/shower together. I'll toss a little of my conditioner on Abby's hair if I plan to blow dry her hair (for a wedding etc).
