31 week appointment..weekly NST's

I just got back from my 31 week check up. I was told i will have A NST every week until I deliver and another growth ultrasound at 36 weeks. Baby was diagnosed with SUA (single umbilical artery) at the anatomy scan so I knew that they were going to watch him more closely as I got farther along. The hospital where i am delivering at is an hour away and the test can take an hour (or more) so I'm hoping my boss doesn't freak out because I will be leaving work early a lot. The good news is I only gained 4 pounds This month (total of 28 pounds so far) and am measuring right on track. The bad news is I have to watch my swelling...my OB said my face looks puffy and my ankles and feet are awful. She suggested cutting out the salt and getting those compression stockings. I have no protein in my urine and my BP is great so there aren't concerned yet. So now I start my 2 week appointments..crazy how fast this pregnancy is going!!!

With my last pg I had to do twice weekly NST and bi physicals. This time I have to do weekly so I am happy to have one less. They are great because you know everything is fine with the baby and hear the heartbeat etc. Hope your boss is helpful!

Glad things are going well! We were also dx with SUA (plus I have pre-existing diabetes as well) but we haven't started NSTs yet...I think my doctor will address that at my next appointment on Monday.

I'm not looking forward to the NTSs. My GD consultant said most doctors in my area do twice a week after 32 weeks. I work 70 minutes away from home so it's not worth going in late/leaving early when I'd have to drive 2+hours for 3 hours of work. Boooo.
