On the nap-free days I realize that I need them as much as she does, if not more. Agonizing, those days can be. Glad he fell asleep for you.

I have long since acknowledged my need for nap time. I even try to explain to him how badly I need a break when he won't nap, but for some reason it's like he doesn't understand Stick out tongue

Oh gosh!! No offense taken. Likewise, I hope I didn't offend you. I definitely don't take MS lightly and would never, ever on purpose say or do anything to hurt your feelings. I like it on this board that we can open these things up and learn from each other.

Totally. If that post was on another board I would have been eviscerated by IFers and trolls would have popped up to make light of IF.

Adrian has been going through a phase where it's clear that he's exhausted but he fights it like you wouldn't believe. He cries and throws tantrums when he senses that I'm about to put him down for a nap. I've tried to delay it a bit, but it's no good. I just have to let him CIO for a little while and if he's too inconsolable, then I go in and try to rock him. It's exhausting, I think it's a combo of teething, runny nose and his age. They say at this age they'd rather play all day than sleep. I don't know what I'll do when he finally stops napping in a couple years... aaagh!
