to say the choices are overwhelming is understating! i have some wraps and a RS and i love them both but whenever i wear G on my back (possibly because i'm still a novice when it comes to wrapping) my back ends up shot, and i'm sore in my lower back. so i was wondering if a MT would help the issue, i just don't know which one to get from TBW so many choices i'm lost

I'm finding the same thing is happening to me from bending over trying to wrap on my back. And I have back issues. I have a babyhawk MT that I absolutely love. I find it pretty comfortable.

I have a BabyHawk and love it. I never felt like I needed a padded waist, but some mamas prefer other brands because BH does not have this feature...
Depending on the size of your baby, a ToddlerHawk might be a better option as well.

Most people prefer a padded waist and shoulder straps for toddlers/bigger babies - so bamberoo, kindercarry, beanslings, kleinsmekker - brands like those. An easy to find option that I think is good for bigger babes/todders is the Kozy. It doesn't have a padded waist but it's made from canvas (the babyhawk is made from twill which isn't as supportive) and it's bigger bodied so it fits toddlers better.
