The Sunscreen/Sunblock Post

https://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/35246863.aspx?MsdVisit=1

Here's a gem from the Seattle Board website (link in my siggy). I figured with this one nice Saturday we had it would be appropriate.

And I've given up on the stores - I just order mine on Amazon now.

How long is sunscreen good for? I have two almost full tubes from last years crappy summer. It would be a bummer if we had to just toss them. Neither of them have expiration dates on them that I can see.

From what I've read they are only suppose to be good for a year.  Because you are suppose to use 1 oz per time and most bottles are 8oz or less they are only good for 8-10 applications.  Of course in this state...we're lucky to get 8-10 nice days from June-September.  Most do have expiration dates though.  I usually will use the stuff left over from the prior year on myself but buy new stuff for T.

Same here - FWIW, I have extremely burn-tastic skin and have never gotten burnt with sunscreen that is 1-2 years old.  However, I'll probably buy new stuff for E every year for a bit, because I'd hate for her to get burnt and have it be my fault.
