Swelling feet at almost 22 weeks...?

Has anyone else had ridiculous swelling of their feet and hands this early? I have dr appointment on wednesday, and didn't have swelling until the last couple of weeks.... I drink water, put my feet up... any other ideas?

I've just started having some swelling at night and can no longer wear my wedding bands. Sad I'd definitely bring it up with your doctor but it is normal to have some swelling during pregnancy. Just take it easy.

  • I didn't get feet swelling until right about week 23 or so and haven't had any hand swelling at all until the past week or so. It definitely gets WAY better when I eat better and cut down on my sodium intake.

  • I've been the same way.  Was fine one morning but my feet were swollen by the end of the night.
My doc told me to cut salt out of my diet.
Before you freak- like  almost did- they have a salt substitute. Tastes like salt but isnt kinda thing. Other then that just keep your feet up when you can

  • My legs and feet are definitely swollen already. I have no advice on what works to help it since I'm not able to help myself either, but I know they say to drink more water and keep your feet up. My legs are pretty nasty by the end of the day. I have gained only7 pounds so far, but I look like I have gained 25 or more, just by looking at my legs!

  • I started swelling at 5 months and I am now 27 weeks tom. and I no longer have feet and ankles, lol. My hands to swell too but mainly at night. As long as your blood pressure is ok the docs will just tell you to drink at least 12 glasses of water and elevate your feet higher than your heart as much as you can. They also told me to just avoid sitting in one position and standing still. Walking is good! Hope that helps! I have just invested in cute flip flops :)
  • My swelling started with my DD at about 22 weeks. It got progressively worse.

  • I started swelling at 20 weeks. Have seen my OB since and he isn't worried. I'm drinking plenty of water and elevate my feet at the end of the day

  • I am 26 wks tomorrow and my feet have turned to bricks. Since I have a desk job, I can put my feet up throughout the day - which does help. At night I elevate my feet and only drink water. My shoes don't really fit anymore - this has been the worst of my pregnancy woes.
