Target has a couple of nursing bras that look pretty forgiving in terms of size - they are sort of sports-bra style. I'm planning to get one or two of those for the hospital and first few days at home, then get some "sturdier" ones once my milk is in.
I would buy in stages. I lived in sleep bras for a bit until they were at their full size and bought just 2. After nursing was established at about 6-8 weeks they shrink again so you will need to buy again and this time they will stay about that size until you wean.
I was window shopping nursing bras when I was buying a few last weekend. I hated the ones I bought last time they were like being bandaged. I was happy to see at JcPenney they had some cute ones bras that looked normal. They recommend you don't do under wire because they can cause a clogged ducts. I did buy one for when I need to wear something where I needed a lift. I have large boobs so that might be part of it.
