Can you tell me more about Carrow St Peds? I am thinking we really do need to switch Drs, and I think WNY peds just seems like too huge a practice for me.. There are a couple others I might look at/call too but I know you always rave about them.. Also... where are they? I assume they are on Carrow St, which I always drive by, but it looks like its a little dead end residential road?

They are on Carrow St. Their office is the last one in the building on the right if you turn down the street from 20A.  You won't miss it. It is in the big plaza building that houses the dry cleaners, coffee shop, and edible arrangements (just on the Carrow St. side).

They have 4 doctors.  You can check all of their credentials on their site. https://www.carrowstreetpediatrics.com/  We usually see Dr. Wegman for all well visits just because she was recommended to me when I was searching for a practice and I met with her before transferring and felt comfortable.  I also like to keep them with one primary doctor that knows them and their health.  I will take them to whoever I can get in with for sick visits.  They have totally electronic files which I think is nice and they have Sat. hours and always call back very quickly if you call after-hours.

I actually just had a great experience yesterday where out of nowhere Dr. Wegman called me to follow-up on Pierce's sleep issues we had been discussing at his 1 year appt a week ago.  She had been doing more research and trying to figure out a solution (he randomly screams and cries at regular intervals every night, but seems to still be sleeping and nothing helps except he eventually goes back to sleep). After chatting about that I told her that I was actually just getting ready to call for an appt. for Reed to get his ear checked and so she transferred me to the secretary to make the appt. and we were in seeing her about a half hour later! hahah

Overall, I like the size of the practice.  They are attentive and will always get us in if we need one of the boys to be seen.

I think you may have "sold" me! And maybe I can convince DH that its a good idea since there is a consumers in that plaza. haha! Our dr office right now is SO close, so even though Carrow st is only like 15 mins away it seems far, but I was talking to the girls about it yesterday and then my OB asked about a pediatrician today and I started rambling about how unsure I was.. so I think its time.

We take DS to Carrow Street as well.  I love them there!  Dr. Kita is my favorite but we've seen them all and have had a good experience.  I have always had an easy time getting in if we have to and they call back really quickly if you call after-hours.  Another thing I think is so nice- if you call the after hours line for something, they'll have someone from the office call the next morning to follow-up.  They've been really on top of DS's allergies and even called me at work on Tuesday to tell me that they have an "allergy specialist" who works a few days each month and they're going to have her call me next week to talk.  I'd definitely recommend them!  Good Luck!

Lurker here but had to post to say we LOVE Carrow St. Peds!  I can't say enough about them!!  Always have seen us the same day we call. Very confident in the care they provide!
