So my oldest is almost 4 and about out of a stroller altogether. I think DS is not far behind her but I'd still like to keep him contained for a while. There are places like the airport and zoo where we would still use it for both. We have a sit n' stand (thanks to dragonflyer) but DS is really too big for the front part now. I have a P&T doubles sport but DS is over the weight limit for the jump seat, plus really wants to see and gets antsy back there so that's out.
I'm looking at side-by-sides, the more compact ones. I LOVE the Bob Dualie but holy crap that is expensive for a stroller. I realize I could easily get a lot of my money back selling it on CL but here's the other problem -- my SIL is currently trying for her first and they want 2 kids, so I was planning on offering to her some of the strollers I have, especially as teachers they don't make THAT much. I hate to force her to choose between two strollers like the P&T and the BOB when she has no clue and given that they are having some difficulties getting pg, I don't want to force her into a position of choosing the stroller RIGHT.NOW. although I think she would be thrilled with either and probably less with the P&T because of its small sunshade and none in back (and they are in Phoenix).
So WWYD? Buy the BOB and sell it in a year or two? Buy the BOB and give it to SIL? Buy a cheaper one like the City Mini or Combi twin sport? TIA!

Re: Stroller advice
Since you're really only looking for something for "limited" use every once in a while, I'd go with something cheap.
Leave your relatives and their future baby needs out of the equation for now. Things like that always resolve themselves, anyway.
Oh yeah.. it's garage sale season. I intend to hit them hard for summer clothes.
I have and love the city mini double. It fits through all doorways and is easy to fold. My boys are 5 and 2 now. I got it when DS #2 was born. We travel a lot and have taken it on at least 10 flights, various zoos, and just about anywhere. My friend has the BOB and likes my City Mini better. It folds flatter so it is an easier fit in the trunk.
Hope this helps! :-)
Considering it is like $400 cheaper than the BOB, yes, yes it does!!!

Isn't the BOB still 20% off at LLBean with no tax and shipping costs? Next week it will be 15% off at REI. I am not helping. I love my BOB duallie and you know I just bought another BOB single. Selling the others. Bob's sell like gold on cl so they are easy to recoup money unlike some of the others. For re-sell, I would go with a BOB. I sold my single BOB on cl for the same amount I paid for it on sale at REI a few years ago. Seriously.
Noah really doesn't ride in a stroller anymore but I love it to take them for walks around the neighborhood and to go kid hiking and to the zoo and we used it for the Christmas lights last year that sort of thing. I have no intention of getting rid of it for a year or two. When we went to Disney last fall, we had to rent a stroller for Noah, he got tired pretty quickly and this boy can go on hikes with us.
Anyway, you can most likely re-coup your money if you buy the BOB on sale. The others don't have quite the resale value.
