DD has 2 teeth on the bottom, and one on top, and I've noticed the last few days she's been clenching down and grinding them together. Not only does it make me cringe, but I'm sure it's not good for her teeth! Anyone else have DC do this?
Every since DD got her 2 top teeth, she's been grinding them on her 2 bottom teeth as well. I cringe when she does it, but she doesn't mind it. I asked the pedi about it when we went to a follow up appt for her ear infection. Pedi said it's common, she won't do any real damage, and it'll pass. I wish she would just stop already though. It hurts me to hear it!

I'm glad the pedi said it's nothing to worry about and it'll pass. We're closing in on her 1 year appt. and I figured I would ask at that one. Oh, and I know exactly what you mean about it hurts to hear it!
I totally forgot I was gonna post about this! Yeah, DS just started doing it last weekend. He only does it when he's eating and not all the time. But I can hardly stand the noise. Eeeek!!

Totally agree! I swear, the sound is worse than nails on a chalkboard. Makes my lips pucker up over my teeth... I'm cringing now just thinking about it!
Re: Why the heck would DD be grinding her teeth?
As soon as DD got her top teeth, she started doing this. She did it for a while and then stopped.
My nephews did the exact same thing. Not much you can do to stop it but we used to give her the paci when she would do this! lol
Hmm, so she's not alone then. Lol, thanks, puts me at ease to know it's not unheard of/sort of normal.
lol yeah, I know what you mean!

DD does this all the time. Her pedi says it totally normal.
