XP: if you're mom to all boys: 1st bday gift advice for 3rd boy

Hi from a new mom with one girl!A neighbor's DS is turning 1, and I'm needing gift ideas. Since he's the 3rd boy, I'm out of ideas because they likely have a lot of typical stuff. Oh, and looking to spend around $25.TIA! ETA: XP from SAHM board.

    This is a great idea!

What about a stepstool or one of those name puzzles? They also make those cute books with the child's name incorporate into it (don't remember the websites...sorry!).

If there is someone else you could find to go in on a gift, you could get a personalized Anywhere Chair from PBK or a personalized bean bag chair.

You could also do a personalized beach towel for the summer or personalized beach bag!

Personalized thing would be awesome.  leapfrog fridge farm if they don't have it.  Those PlaySkool Cushy Cruisers are awesome for 1YO.  Both of mine still love to play with them.  The really big ones are great and the little ones are easy for small kids to manipulate.  DS got this when he was about 17 mos for an early Christmas but his grandparents gave him a toy fireman's hat and a ride-on fire engine both with his name on them.  He still loves both and while I think the ride-on one would be over your limit, the hat likely wouldn't be.

  • With my youngest I really appreciate a few things that got killed by my older son.  Toys that have different parts to it that have been lost, a few nice pieces of clothing, etc.  My older son is really hard on stuff so a lot of things we haven't been able to reuse :(

This. I have 3 boys. A lot of stuff gets passed down so my youngest has very very few things that are just his. Do you know what characters if any he like? My oldest likes spider man and transformers. My middle child isn't in to them anywhere near as much but still has a lot of hand me downs with them on it. He Loves it when he gets hulk and batman stuff which is what he likes.
