Need to: Pack hospital bag (in 7 weeks). Buy some diapers for the new baby. Get the Rock n' Play up here and set up (in more than 7 weeks). Price, organize and transport a huge pile of stuff for an early June garage sale. Not looking forward to this one. Put together my (design) portfolio for job-hunting after the baby is here. Get flowers and plants into our empty balcony planters (after Mother's Day). Hang up four pieces of artwork in the kids' room. Go on a hospital tour, since the maternity wing was renovated since I had James. Pre-register with the hospital- soon. Make more final plans for James's care while I'm in the hospital (we have lots of people who have offered to take care of him for us, but that is hardly a final plan...)- maybe in 7 weeks or so. Do something for my husband and Dad for Father's Day, and buy my Dad a birthday present (for his birthday, which is also my due date).
Would like to: Fix a hook that has fallen off the wall in a closet. Clean the kitchen cabinets- I noticed some dust. Brush and clip the claws of my ancient cat, who probably won't let me do either. Order a beanbag chair cover from Pottery Barn Kids for the shared kids room- it is backordered... and besides, having a coupon would sure be nice. Order white seamless paper background for photography (I have Thunder Gray but decided to lighten things up for this baby girl).

Move to a new state. Find a doctor to care for my last 8w of pregnancy & deliver the baby. Decide how to decorate the nursery. Pick out and order a crib.
Really all I've done so far is get pregnant, keep up with medical appointments, and set up a registry.
ETA: also, paint & clean the entire new house (sellers are smokers), and figure out child care once we get to the new area.
- Finish spring cleaning (not much left to do) - Organize filing cabinet - Replace windows in the basement - Frame paintings in the upstairs hallway (have the frames, just need matting now) - Finish the nursery decorations - Buy crib mattress and whatever other baby needs we have after the shower - Fix upstairs bathroom issues (we need to fix the paint and replace the ventilation system -- part of the reason we need to repaint/clean) - Replace hallway light fixtures (three of them) - Buy all postpartum needs - Pack hospital bag - Install carseat and have inspected - Freeze/prepare some easy meals for after delivery
I think that's it. I hope that's it anyway. I'm sure I'll find a ton more things I want to accomplish as June arrives.
Your list inspired me!! Not to actually accomplish anything but to say that alot of this mimics my list and has nothing to do with the baby and can easily wait until after she arrives. I have a similar list that includes putting up chair rail, doing drywall in the basement, organizing the garage. When I read your list the first thing I thought was 'alot of that can just wait until a later time'...then I thought wait a minute, so can my stuff!!
We have one absolutely MAJOR task to finish before the baby is born... complete the dormer on our cape house! currently, my husband is ripping off our roof and gutting the second floor where our room and the nursery should be... we're hoping to have a new roof up with walls by mid-week next week. Once that is done, i'll worry about all of the other things we still have to do... but until then, that is my only concern.

More than a handful of mom's-to-be moving. I also need to do everything, literally as I too am moving. So, besides packing everything to move, I then have to set up the new house and get the baby room done before going into labor.
It'll be easier for me to tell you what I have done..painted, that's it. Still no furniture, no window treatments, or anything. I'm still @ square one!
*Deep clean the entire house (this will be professionally done)
*Clean carpets
*Wash all baby clothes (probably after all the showers)
*Pack over night bag
*Pick up last minute needed things after taking inventory from the baby showers
I put off so much stuff because I thought we would be moving before the baby was born but it doesn't look like that now. Now I feel like I have way too much to do in short amount of time.

I have thought about making a list but I am pretty sure I would freak out... I live in my avoidance/ it'll get done eventually bubble. Heck I'm not due until the 31st.

I have a list...I won't bore you! Just updated it this AM & realized I have more left than I realized - ugh! But many of them are things that will take less than 1/2 hr or about 1 hr & some of things I need H's help w/ & he has more time free starting in June...
Have energy & motivation this AM / early afternoon but impossible to do anything really b/c I am babysitting 3 kids (3 yr old, 2 yr old & 2 mo. old) all day so they are keeping me hopping w/ potty accidents, "owies" & fussiness! lol And yes, I know you moms already have to deal w/ all this & I try to get things done but today just isn't one of those days!!

We JUST moved three weeks ago. So, yeah. We have pretty much everything left to do.

We need to do pretty much everything except paint the nursery and get rid of the old furniture that was in there. We painted last week and I donated the furniture on Wednesday.
Clean:
Living room/dining room
Both bathrooms
Office
Bedroom
Kitchen
Sell or donate the old loveseat that is taking up too much room in the office
Get the crib, crib mattress, and glider (mattress is coming today, the rest should be delivered tomorrow)
Set up the crib and glider. We are not good at this part, so I'm hoping someone handier will offer to help.
Buy a dresser, night stand, and bookshelf and set them up. Same with hoping for some help on this.
Decorate the nursery
Buy other necessities like burp cloths, bathtub, etc.
Wash and put away baby clothes
Pack hospital bag
Find a mohel (a tall order in Middle-of-Nowhere, NC)
- FINALLY Move into Master Bedroom and get out of LO's room
- Nursery
- CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN.
Now, if we can get it all done it will be a miracle. Just finished painted the master bedroom and the master bath is coming along slowly but surely. Ugh.

PROJECT BALANCING ACT: BIO and BLOG- yeah... needs to be updated.
Everything. Literally.

Really all I've done so far is get pregnant, keep up with medical appointments, and set up a registry.
ETA: also, paint & clean the entire new house (sellers are smokers), and figure out child care once we get to the new area.
Finish clearing out the nursery
Paint said nursery
Order furniture (we still don't have the crib) and rug
Decorate
Organize our bedroom and donate clothes to charity
Lots and lots of yardwork (which has always been something I've done and enjoyed, but has become increasingly difficult to do lately)
Buy postpartum recovery supplies
Pack hospital bag
Purchase anything essential (i.e. diapers, bf pump and supplies, baby gear) that was not received at our showers.
These are the items on my mental list right now, but I'm sure I'll add more!
- Finish spring cleaning (not much left to do)
- Organize filing cabinet
- Replace windows in the basement
- Frame paintings in the upstairs hallway (have the frames, just need matting now)
- Finish the nursery decorations
- Buy crib mattress and whatever other baby needs we have after the shower

Everything...
I'm exhausted just thinking about all that stuff....ugh!
Too much to think about it!
-Find a pediatrician (SOON!!)
-Attend baby classes
-Attend baby showers
-Finish nursery
-Buy a rocking chair/glider
-Pack hospital overnight bag
-CLEAN the house
-Landscaping/flowers (just bought a house and it doesn't have either!)
I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting!!
This.
My once four page list is now about a page long.
- Finish decorating baby's room
- Buy a dresser for the nursery wash and put away all LO's clothes
- Have MH build a custom bookshelf to fit in the corner of the nursery
- Replace the toilet, sink, and floors in our bathroom
- Clean off front porch once all of the renovations are complete
- I deep cleaned the entire house last week, I just need to keep up with it
- Install/inspect car seat
- Attend birthing/BFing/Infant CPR classes
- Make any final purchases for the baby that we don't receive at the showers
- Purchase post-partum stuff
- Pack the hospital bag and keep it in the car with me
I'm probably going to have a heart attack after I type this:
- furnish nursery with... everything except paint. it's got that much.
- have shower and buy everything needed that people didn't buy for me
- deep clean kitchen
- prime and paint kitchen
- deep clean every other room in my house
- move loveseat from bedroom to living room downstairs
- move superfluous furniture from living room... somewhere
- make DH stop putting off pressure washing the rest of the house
- change out two light fixtures in the kitchen
- scrape ceilings in kitchen
- potentially replace carpet in den
- in theory, refinish hardwoods but let's be realistic. it's smelly and it's just not going to happen. the dogs will only ruin it in two days.
- restain deck
- remulch side bed and rear flower beds
- oh yeah- hospital bag
- birth plan
- baby classes
- continue waiting on my state tax refund so i can actually afford to do 3/4 of the things on this list...
Also me!
So much it causes me to have a mini panic attack on a weekly basis:
*finish nursery
-paint
-assemble crib (ordered 2 weeks ago should arrive in 2 weeks)
-paint dresser/changing table
-buy tall set of dresser drawers
-buy accessories (rugs, drapes, wall art, lamp, etc)
*finish baby's bathroom
*register for birthing and breast feeding class
*Go on hospital tour
*Deep clean the entire house (this will be professionally done)
*Clean carpets
*Wash all baby clothes (probably after all the showers)
*Pack over night bag
*Pick up last minute needed things after taking inventory from the baby showers
