babies r us vent

Not sure if anyone else ran into this, but there are 3 different items on my registry (bottles, diaper covers and baby mittens/hand covers) that when I added the "nuetral" color it added either a boy-specific or girl specifc choice instead! The mittens were added in pink and the diaper covers in purple and the bottles are all blue. We are team green...

When I called to have them fix, they said they can't because these all have the same item number, and are not broken out by color. What?? How does one order the color they want online then?

Guess I will be deleting this stuff off. What a pain. I am regretting not registering at Target I think.

  • That happened to me with pacifiers--I scanned the wrong ones at the store, but decided to fix it later.  I removed the pink and purple ones, added blue and white, and it still went back to pink and purple.  They know we are having a boy, so hopefully they'll realize it was a mistake :)

  • I had that happen for a few things. I also had a bunch of random crap on my registry when I first started it that absolutely did not register for. I just left the things that came up the wrong gender- I figured I can exchange it if I need to.  Why not go ahead and register at target too? Although I can't say I'm 100% happy with them either.  I scanned a bunch of things in the store that did not show up online.

  • This happened to me too. I just removed them from the registry. I figured I could just buy them myself.

  • Happened to me too with some pacis and sippee cups. I left them on the registry, and figured I could exchange them if I wanted to. Annoying!

  • I could write a book about my dislike of BRU!! My shower is Sunday and I have had a number of calls from guests who had terrible service and couldn't find any registry items in stock. I actually went back and re-registered for most things since about 90% of what I originally registered for (in the store!!) was not in stock. These are not seasonal items either!!  Unfortunately where I live they have the market cornered as there are no other baby specific stores.
  • Yeah I had this happen with mittens at BRU. Apparently the yellow, blue, and pink trimmed ones all have the same item number. I scanned a pink one but it shows up as requesting yellow on my registry.

    Me too!  EXACTLY the same thing!  I liked the cute animals on the pacifiers, but it kept putting the pink and purple versions up.  Boo.
