my boss just told me that her daughter is 7 weeks pregnant with her first and "can't believe that she's showing already!"

Is that even possible?

I'm 7 weeks and definitely showing, not bloated. I'm a pretty thin girl at 120 lb and 5'7" and my bowels are moving just fine. As I'm over 35, I will find out when I see my midwife if this is twins, which is one reason some women show early - the uterus is much bigger. It's all genetics! Another friend of mine didn't show till mid-2nd trimester and then put on 75 lbs total. I've gained 10, which is a lot. But darn it, I'm hungry all the time!
