I found one at Walmart for $5. It's by OP, they have 2 girly ones and 2 boyish ones. It seems to be pretty well made so I picked one up. Just thought I'd share since the last place I imagined I would find a cloth swim diaper would be Walmart.
BFP #1 11/28/09 ~ EDD 8/6/10 ~ DS Born 8/9/10 BFP #2 8/27/13 ~ EDD 5/8/14 ~ Natural MC 9/18/13 at 6 weeks, 6 days BFP#3 3/28/14 ~ EDD 12/7/14 ~ DD Born 11/21/14 BFP#4 6/15/17 ~ EDD 2/20/18
i bought one of those and just used it the other day... leaked right thru, so i was not impressed
someone else had one and posted on here that it worked well for her
but dd peed and it went thru to her swimsuit bottom... it wasn't water because she didn't go in the water, and the leg holes were secure enough, it just soaked thru
is that normal of swim dipes though?

In my experience, it is normal. Even a disposable swim diaper doesn't have the gel to absorb the pee. That's the idea, I think. No bulk and just mostly to protect against poo.

From my understanding the sole purpose of a swim diaper is to catch poo. Even if there were some sort of pee absorbing matierial in it....the pool/ocean/lake water would be absorbed immediately and just weigh the diaper down.
I figured when we aren't in water....I will have to use a regular diaper.

We picked up 2 of these, but does anyone have a LO who has actually pooped in it? Does it really contain it? A is only 4 months old and still has the runny BF poo, just curious if it is up to the challenge since we want to start swim here soon, but scared if it won't keep it in.....
I took my DD to an indoor water park a few weeks ago and just put one of her FB on her (without the inserts inside) and it worked great. Her swimsuit bottoms fit just fine over it.

they were in the pool section in the seasonal area... not in the apparel area
