Caroline needs her 'time' in the mornings. She normally rolls around her crib, talking to herself, taking her sleep sack off, etc. This can last up to a hour.
She does this after her nap too. I never go in until she fusses or calls for me.
Do your LOs do this??
Re: How long does it take your LO to be ready to get up?
Oh yes, we don't dare go in there before she calls us or we are met with a crab monster! H is like me and needs her time to wake up. Just because we see her stiring on the video monitor does not mean she's ready to get up.

I'm not really sure. On weekends, I usually doze while he plays. Sometimes it can be a 1/2 hour.
I always have to wake him on weekdays and only have time to give him a few minutes. I think it's really sweet though. He hugs his blankey and gives kisses to his glow worm and monkey. When he's ready to part with it, he puts his sucky to the glow worm's mouth
I tried to get him out yesterday before he was ready and he threw himself stomach down on top of his blankey and gripped the crib mattress while grunting!
I wish!!!! He stands up immediately when he wakes and says Mommymommymommymommymommymommy until I go in.
I have seen friends' kids hang out by themselves in the crib for a while, otherwise I would never believe it to be possible.
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
Not really. By the time we hear her she's ready for someone to come get her. I have no idea if she's up before we hear her.
Sometimes she'll sing to herself and play with some of the stuffed animals in her crib or her blankets, but once she's done she wants instant gratification - i.e. someone better come let me out of this goddamn crib.
