How to ask about OB's without spilling the beans

So I need to find an OB.  I refuse to see my previous one because she was terrible and her office staff was terrible so I won't see anyone else in that office either.  I want to ask people who they recommend because I think that's the best way to find someone but I don't want to spill the beans either really.  How would you do it?

    Sep 17: IUI #5 = Cancelled due to overstimulation (10+ follies)
    Nov 17: IVF #1 = Cancelled due to non-IF related health issue | TI = BFN
    Dec 17: IVF #1 = Puregon 200, Menopur 75, Orgalutran, Suprefact trigger due to OHSS risk | 22R, 18M, 16F, 10B frozen  
    Feb 18: FET #1 (medicated) = BFN
    Mar 18: FET #2 (natural cycle) = CP (beta 1: 54; beta 2: 0)
    Apr 18: FET #3 (natural cycle) = cancelled due to missed ovulation
    Apr 18: FET #3 (natural cycle) = BFP! Beta 1: 201  Beta 2: 585 Beta 3: 3254 Beta 4: 9715 U/S 19May - one bean measuring on track with a HB of 125!

    This is a good idea. I was going to suggest going onto your local Nest board and asking the ladies there. That's what I did, since I don't know a lot of people in my area anyways.

    This exactly. If anyone presses further just be honest and tell them that your last one was awful!

    You dont really have to tell them anything. My last OB was soooo busy that i had to wait for atleast 2hrs ever app. to be told half the time that he couldnt see me and i had to see the NP. And since I had my last baby he has even opened up another practice in another town...Like he had the time!!! So i talked to a few women i knew and they suggested someone that they love and i chose the most popular. and btw i love her to death!!

    i have one friend who raved about her experience after her daughter was born. so i just spilled the beans to her and asked. i kept it contained to the one person since I had lots of questions about her birth experience for her.

    This is exactly what I did. My friend raved about her OB, and my MW was a nightmare so I just told her it was time for my physical adnd I needed to find someone new, and since we are hoping to be trying soon, I was looking for someone who would possibly deliver my baby.
