If you had an amnio done
When did you get the results, was it closer to two weeks or three? I am coming up on two weeks soon and i am getting very anxious waiting. I hope i get them sooner rather then later.

I got my preliminary results very quickly (under a week, I think, or thereabouts), which ruled on Down Syndrome and spino bifida. However, because I was also testing for Fragile X Syndrome (I'm a pre-mutation carrier), which requires a degree of gene sequencing, the final results for everything came in two weeks and one day later (clean bill of health for Le Petit Comte!). If I were testing for cystic fibrosis, those results probably wouldn't be in yet (almost 3 weeks later).
In short, I think it depends on a) what you're testing for and b) how busy the lab is.

Preliminary results (FISH) I got back in about 2.5 days. I got the full results back in a week, they told me it would be 10 days, so I was surprised to get them back so soon.
Why don't you call yourself instead of waiting for them? There would be no harm in that, who cares if they think you are being annoying. Sometimes, they can just do a quick email or phone call and get the results quickly. Call your Genetic Counselor!
