So, I just needed to share what a crazy week Jones has had development-wise.
Sunday he figured out that he could follow me into other rooms (he had never made the connection before)
Sunday night he started crawling on all fours (he'd been army crawling for about a month)
Monday he was suddenly able to pull himself up to standing on just about anything and started clapping (silently)
Tuesday he was able to make noise while clapping and we watched him take a few steps forward to get closer to something he had pulled up on.
Wednesday he took a few steps while holding onto furniture, and was taking steps while I was holding onto his hands.
Thursday
the little slacker didn't learn anything
and this morning he was watching the royal wedding and waved at the
newlyweds!! We'd never seen him wave before, but I guess everyone on TV
was doing it, so he did too
I'm pretty sure he's going to solve world hunger next week
But seriously, its just stunning how quickly they learn things!! I'm glad its so exciting, or I think I'd be having a breakdown over all of the changes this week!
Re: Can I brag on my kid for a minute...

Wow! Big week for Jones!
We've had a very similar couple of weeks. In about 10 days Nora has learned
- how to crawl on her hands and knees
- how to pull herself up (on her pink piano, no less!)
- how to sign "milk" and "eat"
- how to climb up stairs (on a climber at child care - thank goodness we have no stairs at home!)
- how to say "mama" (finally!)
A week and a half ago she didn't do ANY of these things...I'm scared to think about what she's going to pick up over the weekend!
