we're having a fight...

me and the LOs room that is...

My taste is typically modern, contemporary, simple - think west elm, crate and barrel, dwell, etc.

We were so excited when we found out we were pregnant a mere month after we'd gotten married.

DH picked out this great organic bedding set that I still love but its still not something I'd normally choose. Then we proceed to pick out a crib, glider and dresser that are very traditional... word to the wise, don't make decisions in the first trimester ;).

Now I want to change everything, but I can't. DH loves it and poured his heart into it.

That's it. I just needed to tell someone.

    Awww, that's so sweet that your DH took interest in the nursery. I can see why you don't want to change it. But don't worry, once your LO is in there and it becomes a peaceful, warm, and loving place to snuggle your baby, you won't mind that it's not quite your style. Maybe you can find some wall art on etsy that will add your modern touch?

    I definitely agree here. You'll grow to love it because of what it is going to mean to you when it is LO's room. And I totally agree about looking into something like wall art to make it a little more modern. You can go a lot with the right rug, though I know that the more stuff you put in the farther you get from simple.
