XP: PP sex...who's done it?

What's the secret? Long story short, we tried tonight and failed. It hurt like a mother and I just couldn't finish. It felt different and burned like wowwww.

Anyone have any tips? We used tons of lube and I had a glass of wine to relax. Do I just have to bite on something and bear it while it gets more comfortable? Am I trying too soon?

I had a c/s but was in labor for 23 hours with 3 hours of pushing before going to surgery, so there was definite trauma to the lady garden. Any advice is appreciated...I feel terrible and would really like to have some intimacy back sometime soon!

  • We've done it a few times now.  We used lube the first time I it was mostly lead by me, but me on the bottom.  Missionary is all that works right now because the bottom where I got stitches is still sore and other positions put pressure.

I know it might kill the mood... but I would try and try again until you find the position that it least painful and then lube some more and take it slow with you in the drivers seat.  I will say that I got the Big O - not from sex but from him doing other things.

  • I would love to try it, but at 7 weeks 3 days postpartum, I'm still bleeding and the Dr. Said this could go on until 12 weeks.  It sucks.

  • I haven't and I don't want to, I have no urge or desire but I will probably give it up sometime soon since DH's birthday is the 9th...I don't remember the last time we fooled around let along did the deed!

  • It gets easier each time. I was induced, pushed for 1.5 hours, and ended up with a csection. We didn't even try until about 6 weeks, and now at 10 weeks it's easier (the last time I didn't even need lube). I am honestly not that into it right now and I feel really bad for H. I try my best, but...meh. I hope this changes soon!

My DHs bday is TOMORROW and I'm probably going to have to try and give it up.  It didn't work the first few times we tried after DS1 and super sucked for several more times after that...so I'm really not looking forward to it.

  • We had no problems and didn't need any lube.  I thought I would feel tighter and it would hurt, but I felt looser and had no pain.  Sorry I wasn't much help.

  • I got the go ahead from my regular Dr once the bleeding stopped, so we have been successful at sex a few times. We have just taken our time with it. Go slow, use lube, have a drink.

But I would say if it still hurts it might be best to hold off a wk or 2 and try again, and if it still hurts just take your time on getting back to sex. If you start to get super worried about it then talk to your dr about it, bc you dont need to stress. But just take it easy. For now I would say some fun petting, fore play, even just being close and cuddling, my DBF and I cuddled mostly naked for awhile till my bleeding stopped, and we were comfortable enough with it to have sex. It was nice to feel like that close, but not like we are just cuddling on the couch.

  • i've had sucess & failures.. at 6 weeks. We tried at 4, and it was tender. then again at 5, it was great. then again at 5 (lol) and it hurt like a mother...   so I would say, dont push it! it may push back your healing.  There are ... say, "other" things you can do in the bedroom that dont involve your lady parts and still leave a man happy! :)

  • We have been pretty successful in this area.  Four weeks was definitely too soon (I was willing to try because DH was so impatient!  lol).  At six weeks I was on board and my OB gave me the thumbs up, so we made it kind of a big "event."  We went out to dinner beforehand, I had some wine, and then there was lots of foreplay.  I actually didn't even need lube, which surprised me.  I had an emergency C-section before the pushing even started, so my lady parts have remained pretty much intact.  We just pick positions that do not irritate my scar.  I think I would be waiting much longer if I had a vaginal birth.
