I am not getting up early to watch it but I did set it up the record. I really want to see her dress of course & the other fashions but not sure I could sit through the whole thing.
I am not bothering getting up to watch it because I know, without a doubt, it will be plastered all over the news/tabloids/etc like crazy for quite a while to come.
I am curious about the dress and such, but see no need to watch it live when the pictures and video recaps will suffice.
I'm not setting my alarm but I usually wake up around 5 to go to the bathroom so I am seriously seriously hoping I wake up tomorrow because I really want to watch!!!!

UGH! I am trying so hard to not be interested! I admit, there is something whimsical about a commoner becoming a princess! Does it pertain to me?... Absolutely! I found my prince!
I'm interested to see what her dress looks like, but I could care less about the rest! My BFF took the day off tomorrow to have a watch party with a friend of hers, so she's really into it!

There's too much algae in the ocean, a genocide in Darfur, wars and civil uprisings in Africa and the Middle East, pollution in the Gulf of Mexico, political debate about privatizing Medicare, and THIS is what I'm supposed to care about? Out of protest and complete agony that this is what the national media has chosen to focus on, I, personally, am avoiding any and all "news" about the royal wedding. The costs for event security alone could do soo much good in this world. I see no reason to support frivolity, excess, and decadence in an age of global socioeconomic uncertainty.
(Having said all of this, I'm a total hypocrite and am genuinely interested in her wedding dress lol.)
I'm working overnights and we have tv's here to be situationaly aware (weather office) so this is all that is on. So, yes we're watching it by default, but I'm curious
I am in CA and woke up at 01:00 to watch the wedding coverage. I have been looking forward to this day since Will and Kate announced their engagement! Already had a bowl of frosted flakes and I am sooo ready to see Kate's dress
I am up at 4am everyday, and I turned to the news to see what was going on this morning (like I do every morning), but all they had on was the Royal Wedding. I was disappointed, so I turned to the sports channel.
I wasn't going to get up or watch anything specifically, but apparently my little babies are more interested than me and although my alarm was set for 5:45am, to get up for work, I woke up WIDE awake exactly at 5am. So weird. I'd rather use the extra time to do internet stuff, hence here I am. But it's definitely on in the background now (already spoiling these babies, giving them exactly what they want ).
I suppose I'm mildly interested in watching only because 30yrs ago, my mom was pregnant with her first during the last big royal wedding, so that's kind of a neat family story if I watch it. Plus I think Kate is really pretty, so I'll be happy to see her dressed up.
I woke up to from LO too, so here I am watching...but I've been switching between my local news and this. My mom was pg with me during the last one as well, so I think it is kind of neat, but pure coincidence that I am up as well. Thanks insomnia!
I'm watching it now, got up at 5am, not much earlier then usual. Partly because H didn't think I actually would and I love proving him wrong, and part because I LOVE weddings! She looks amazing, love the lace detail (of course because I had lace too!). I love that they are a real couple though, and in love, not just marrying because of a 'title' like Williams parents.
Makes me want to put on my wedding dress and play dress up but I would never fit into it right now!
I laugh at all the people caught on camera not singing in the Abby while they are supposed to. Silly them when someone that will say something watches and sees them not participating.
I just thought the same thing! Sorry little boy, but I bet grandma's watching and noticing your lack of enthusiasm!
I've been watching it and it's proceedings. I had to stop for a moment to wake up Jr for school. It's still on behind me. I think her dress is very elegant; however, being a new Royal Princess, I almost expected more. She does look fabulous.

I was thinking that too! I would make it look like I am and not actually sing though, as people around me would die from sheer terror from the sound

While I agree that there are definitely more issues in the world that should get priority for the news...I would much rather watch a happy event then sit through another hour of coverage on Donald Trump and Obama's birth certificate. At least this has some historical significance and isn't just sour grapes and stupidity. Let's face it, the news wouldn't be reporting on anything significant if it weren't on!

In the nicest way possible I need to give this a giant eye roll. I mean COME ON. Can't we focus on some good and happy things happening too?? It doesn't take away from the problems in the world..
And it makes me insane when people say "the cost of xyz could do so much good" It is their prerogative how they spend their money... Frivolous to you.. But it's a big deal in England and part of their history. Are you giving all of your extra money to Darfur, Middle East, etc? I am not trying to be snarky, just making a point ; )

ITA!
I'm watching because when Charles and Diana were married, my mom had just given birth to me, and now I'm pregnant. I wonder if they will have a baby next year.lol
I taped the whole thing and watched some of it live while getting ready this morning! I can't wait to watch it later!
I know a lot of people think its overplayed, and I mean I'm not gonna go out and buy a fridge with their faces on it, but I do think it's a big part of history and I'm glad we get the opportunity to watch it.
Plus you can tell they are so in love it is so sweet!
Yep! I was up getting a snack and watched the whole thing!! it was beautiful! Her dress was just perfect for her! Classic, simple, and timeless! I got it on DVR to watch again later.
