Swim Lessons for infants...

Lyla is 10.5 months and I would like to get her into swim lessons ASAP. We are going to the Bahamas in August and want to start working with her. I've left a message with Nitro, but am looking for other suggestions. I'm open to both group and individual (i.e., at someones house even). Thanks!

Kelsey

We take them at the YMCA, and while they are wonderful, my kid will by no means be able to swim for another year or more.  If you want to make sure she is comfortable in the water, I think something like YMCA lessons would be great.  If you are looking for something more for the safety aspect, you might look into ISR.  It's pricey and very intense from what I understand, but many people swear by it.

    ditto this!

  • A friend of mine did the Aquatots program and speaks really highly of it. They have locations all over town -
  • We did AquaTots last year when DD was 8 months old and will be doing it again this summer.  It was a lot of fun and she loved it!
