friends of ours just had a baby girl. they are more friends with DH. she is his co-worker, but they came to our wedding and are wonderful. i love them and think they're awesome. she did it with NO MEDS for 21 hours. she was 100 lbs before she got pregnant and this child was 8lbs 5oz 22 inches long. holy lord.
anyway... the dad chose her name. "Emma Frost F."
now emma is cute. I asked DH "what's the frost from?" DH tells me "Oh... you know the X-men character. there is a character named is emma frost. and (the husband) is a big dork who loves comics. so that's what he named her."
seriously? an X-men character? haha poor kid.
Re: here's one...
ehh its no Bus Terminal 39
edit: https://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7522952.stm excuse me BusShelter number 16
haha never thought of that. that's a good one!
it's a cute name. dont get me wrong. but people will ask where the frost comes from, and hopefully she wont get sick of the x men answer.
DH and I would do it--within reason. He used to want to name a son "Bruce Wayne Lastname" (Batman). For the longest time, I was sure the reason he likes the name Parker was because of Peter Parker (Spiderman). I joke that our son's middle name should be Tiberius, after James T. Kirk (Star Trek, original series).
Yep, we are nerds.
At least they didn't name their kid after a made-up role playing game character...we know someone who did. At least it comes with a normal nickname.

I was thinking the same thing.
I actually got more focused on the kids initials...EFF...and all I can think of is "effing" LOL. Sorry.
(no, not feeling the "Frost" name. Love Emma though)
We are naming our LO Ryker, but it was before we knew that there was a character on Star Trek named Commander Ryker...and, as my dad likes to point out...there is a prison with the same name! lol
