My shower is being given by my mom, sister, and MIL and is over Mothers Day Weekend so the moms gifts will be joint with Mothers Day. So far I found a super cute book to give to both Grandma's to be on "How to be the Perfect Grandma". I'm not sure what else just yet, maybe a charm for their pandora bracelets or some kind of Grandma/Aunt baby items.

My shower is being hosted by my mom and my bff ... the same two people who will be driving 5-6 hours down here to help during my home birth. I already have gifts for them for "thank you" for the home birth assistance (for my mom a book she can fill out about all the wisdom she's learned, family history, etc. that she would like to pass down to her granddaughter - for my bff a frame for her to put a pic of me/her/and the baby). But for the shower thank you gifts I'm stumped.
I am getting gift baskets from bath and body works.

...for my mom a book she can fill out about all the wisdom she's learned, family history, etc. that she would like to pass down to her granddaughter ...
Please tell me more about this... where did you find?
I am having a sprinkle thrown by two good friends. I bought them each some cute stationary with their inital on it. I will probably pick up a little something else I just haven't decide on anything yet. It is May 15th so I have a bit of time.
One of my showers is being given by 2 girlfriends - I think I'm going to get them pedicure gift certificates.
the other one is being hosted by my mom. I'm going to get her a nice silver "grandma" picture frame and something else...maybe flowers or a bottle of wine. She doesn't like getting "stuff" anymore, it just accumulates in her house.
I am getting mine a bouquet of flowers and a card. We are on a tight budget and I wish I could do more but I don't think she will be expecting anything.

I've never seen it before, but I saw ONE copy at Barnes and Noble in the "pregnancy" section mixed in with all the baby's 1st year books. But, I've perused those books at about 3 different B&Ns in the past few months and have never seen it until now.
I'll go into the other room and see if it has any info on the sticker or something and then edit this reply if it does, might help you in finding it. brb ;-)
Update: It's called: Grandmother Remembers A Written Heirloom for My Grandchild ... the isbn # 9780941434324 (put that into google or amazon or whatever and it'll pop right up)
I took my mom and sister for mani/pedis to thank them.
GREAT idea!! My mom and bff love pedicures and hardly ever go unless I'm in town. (plus I get a lil pampering too, tee hee)... oh I'm so happy you posted this
My friends are being really secretive about who the official host(s) are so I will have to wait to see how many there really are.
The ideas Ihave thrown around that are all similar in price are.
1. A Tiffany item, it will be something that fits them be it a necklace, bracelet, card holder etc. I went there during my wedding planning and found they have very nice items that are $60 or less.
2. Flowers or Edible arrangements delivered to their jobs.
3. Spa Gift Certificates. We can either all go together or they can do it on their own.
That's all on my list for now. The least amount of hosts the more I can splurge.

Really cute idea! I wonder if I could do this as part of my Mom's and MIL's mother's day.

TTC#2 for 4 years: multiple rounds of IVF, M/Cs, lots of tears. Cautiously optimistic about #2 EDD 12/29/18
I have three friends hosting it that are on the invitation itself, but a good friend paid for the invitations and mailed them out and has bought some decorations so I'm including her in the hostess gifts as well. I was thinking a coin purse or wristlet from the coach outlet store or willow tree angles with thank you cards.

My 1st shower is being held in my home state (800 miles away) by my BFF. We have been friends since kindergarten. Money is tight at her house. She wants to fly here to see the baby after it's born. I am going to wait until after the shower and send her a $200 Visa gift card to help pay for the plane ticket. If I gave it to her in person, I know she wouldn't accept, so I know I will have to mail it. (I hope money isn't tacky??)
