I'm taking this idea from another post earlier in the day. I absolutely love the creativity so make sure there is no real info on the invite and post a sample! let's see the different options that are out there!

LindsRockies:
Isn't the person throwing your shower supposed to purchase and circulate the invites? Maybe I'm wrong on this. Are you just picking them out and then giving them to who's throwing if for you?

Please educate me.

Yeah I have no idea what the invitations or the theme are for my shower till I get the invitation in the mail. That is how it was for my bridal shower and bachelorette party too. It's fun that way :-)

Yes indeed. That was what I was wondering as well.

I have a copy of my invite, but only after my mom and sister chose it and sent them all out. She ordered some extra copies for my scrapbooks. I love what they picked!

My mom asked if I wanted to help with the planning of the shower and selecting of the theme and invites since planning themed parties are pretty much what I live for, so I had these made:

I had 2 cards made to go with it: one with our registry info & another with a poem about bringing a book instead of a card. I staggered them on the bottom and clipped it together with a blue clip that said it's a boy!

My MIL offered to throw our shower and I went online and sent her links of ones I liked if she wanted ideas and she picked one of those. She was totally fine with that. I asked if she'd send us one too for a scrapbook

my friends are throwing this particular shower and they asked me to pick out the invite and decide what kind of cake i would like. They are also asking me to weigh in on the food and games. That is the extent of my involvement. Can't say that it's a good thing or bad thing I just get to put my 2 cents in. My family shower on the other hand is being thrown by my 4 aunts and I have been told to but out so I think to each his own.
