Big Baby?

I had an appointment with the specialist yesterday and got my usual ultrasound. Baby is doing great but was a little stubborn during the ultrasound. She covered her face the entire time so we didn't get any real good shots of her sweet little face. The office usually prints out some of the u/s pics in 3d/4d. Anyway, we were slightly concerned at the previous appointment last month because she was a little on the small side but in the course of 1 month she has gained 1lb and 9 oz! She weighs 3lbs and 7 oz (at 29 wks and 5 days)! She had a major growth spurt. And for the matter so have I. Anyone else carrying a chunky baby?

I'm a little worried mine had a big spurt, I went from measuring right on track to measuring 34wks at my appt. yesterday. I have to wait until 5/11 for my next growth scan, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn't *too* big of a spurt. She was 1lb 13oz at my 24wk appt, so we'll see what she is at 29wks lol.

Oh yes! My little guy weighed in at 4lbs 9oz today! {30 weeks} I knew he was going to be big, because my uterus is measuring 2 weeks ahead. But he's measuring 3.5-4 weeks ahead!

I am excited to see what they will weight in at birth! ^_^

I had my ultrasound Tuesday, and my LO weighed the exact same! 3 pounds, 7 ounces. He actually gained a pound in two weeks (which I think is average) so we were happy. But yep, he's a big one!

Wow! I thought my LO was a chubby chub! lol.

Yeah, I'm also curious to see how much they'll weigh at birth. If she keeps this up she'll be a 10lb-er or more! Indifferent

We found out yesterday at our 30 week appt during a growth ultrasound that our little guy is 3lbs 12oz and measuring 32w5d! Chubby boy!!!!

We had an ultrasound on Tuesday, it was supposed to be a 3D one but LO wouldn't show us her face... Sad

but yeah, she was measuring 3 lbs 3 oz at 28 weeks 5 days. Her length was also measuring really long, 13 days bigger in fact. It just seems unreal to me that she weighs that much with 11 weeks to go. She needs to chill a little bit Stick out tongue

I hope so! Because I've gained 13 pounds in the last 2 months!! If she hasn't had a growth spurt I will have quite a share of working out to do after she's born!

I'm up 16 in the last 2 months! And I was 10lb 10oz at birth, so chances are high this LO won't be petite!

Doc told me today that #3 is probably a big baby too. I already had a nearly 9-pounder so I am semi-prepared for that, but much bigger than that is kind of scary!

Interestingly. 1 higher-than-normal belly measurement is ok, it's when you have two in a row that docs get concerned. I guess growth spurts can happen at any time in the 3rd tri - that's why babies range in size so much. Plenty of us will have 6 pounders but there will be plenty in the 8-9 pound (and even bigger) range too.

My friend told me to ask the specialist for the baby's weight when I had my appointment last month, I'm not asking this month because my baby was huge four weeks ago! He measured in at 2 lbs 5 oz, he was only supposed to be near a pound. I'm sure curiosity will get the better of me and I'll find out he's four pounds at 31 weeks.

i have a feeling my lil girl is going to be big, she was weighing at 4 or more oz at 17 weeks and at 27 weeks she looked way chunkier than the other pics we saw of peoples 3d ultrasounds at 27 weeks. i have popped out way more this time than i did with my first, she weighed 5 lbs 1 oz when we was born but she was also a preemie, she was born at 36 weeks and i had major bleeding with her the first 3 months. this one i only had lil spotting and she wants food all the time. i am hoping this coming tuesday at my 31 week check up il find out how much she is weighing at
