I find that the Thermacare heat wraps rock! They have them for cramps. I don't use them everytime but when the going gets tough they are awesome.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!
IVF March 2012 - BFP! - Severe OHSS = 8 days in the hospital in kidney failure
No heartbeat at 10w6d
FET August 27,2012 = BFP!

I have no home remedies, just a bottle of Pamprin.
Yeah I alternate between Pamprin and Advil....taking way more of both then I should be though and it doesn't completely help. I even set my alarm for the middle of the night so I don't miss a dose and get behind the pain in the a.m.

Thanks. Yeah I used to use those until I got a pretty bad burn from them one time. Now I just have an electric heating pad which is ALWAYS plugged in at my bedside. I know lots of ladies swear by those heat wraps. Glad they work well for you.

The heating pad is my best friend. Also hot baths. Advil and the like do nothing for me. DH had to give me one of my leftover pain meds last weekend because I was basically double over in pain, which happens every few months.
Sorry you're having a bad time!

TTC #1 since Sept. 2009 - DX unexplained IF March 2011 - "Surprise" BFP March 2012
I take asprin daily for an unrelated issue, but it seems to help all blood flow easier and has relieved a lot of my cramping issues / heaviness.
Someone mentioned yogi tea 'woman's moon cycle' recently and lots of women wrote rave reviews about it. I haven't tried it, but perhaps it's worth a shot.
I try to stay away from meds, but I'm glued to my rice bag for a good 24 hours. I love that thing.

I have the WORST cramps and AF always kicks my butt.
I have to say, a couple of months I stopped using tampons and I have noticed a huge difference. I still get cramps, but nothing like they used to be. I just use regular pads now - I know it is kind of icky, but worth it for less cramps.
Good luck. AF sucks all around!

After 18 months TTC, our 2nd IUI brought us our BFP!
Stick baby stick!
When AF showed up in the middle of the night a couple days ago, I woke up with really bad cramps. I had bought some Red Raspberry leaf tea to start taking this cycle and drank a few cups of that throughout the day and my cramps were gone! I didn't even take any medication! Normally CD1 is pretty painful for me. Maybe give that tea a try. Can't hurt!
