anyone had one? Just curious as what to expect. Will I get to see LO at all, or just the heart? I have ASD so they're just checking to make sure LO didn't inherit it as well.
I had one last week... Ours was about an hour long, we seen her on the screen, heard her heartbeat, & watched her heart on the monitor ect. The doctor did show us everything the head, stomach, heart, and confirmed the gender. For the most part the focus was on the heart.
Good luck!

I got one that was combined with a level II sonogram. I saw LO and up close and personal with the heart and other things that they were checking out. They also turned on 3d/4d (don't remember which) and printed me out a picture of her. I got mine done at 23 weeks...GL!

Yes, had one 2 weeks ago. Didn't see much besides the heart. It is still cool to see LO's heart and to hear it beating!
does a cardiologist do the echo? I'm sure it will be amazing to see! I guess I was just selfishly hoping for a little glimpse of LO's face!
I've had 4 (baby is fine). The first two, a tech did it. The third, a tech did it and then the cardiologist did it again to confirm everything. The fourth time, a tech did it, but she is also a Dr. Mostly heart views though

Mine was of the heart- nothing else. An ultrasound tech did the scan, but the cardiologist came in after to talk with me. The whole appointment lasted about 20 minutes. Good Luck!
I had one and it was with the cardiologist. It was about 45 minutes long. 40 minutes were spent on the heart but he did briefly show us the face, legs, etc. He did find an ASD (that is a hole in the heart right?) so I go back again next month. I have a different congenital heart defect so that is why they were checking.
I had 3 done because of the heart defect I was born with, LO is just fine. A tech did all three but the cardiologist came in and looked at the images with the tech and made sure she could see everything. We asked to see all of LO so they showed us a quick peek of everything but mainly we saw a lot of his heart. It's pretty cool to see such a tiny organ and how hard it works already GL!!
