Got the girls name narrowed down, Team Green, due in 2 weeks.
Last name is like Hennessey
Siblings: Lachlan and Vito
August Hennessey
Clive Hennessey
Clarke Hennessey
Everett Hennessey
Willem Hennessey
I have some issues with all of them. August I love, but husband doesnt like nn Gus and Im afraid it will be shortened. Clive I love also, although it is very unusual/rare. Clarke is a family name and is a nice name but I am not in LOVE with it. Everett would be our 1st choice but we used it as one of our other sons middle name - would that be wrong? Willem is a family name and we really like it, but dont like William and afraid it will just be pronounced William by others anyway.
Thanks.
Re: August - Clive - Clarke -Everett - Willem
I really, really love August and Clive. I like the nickname Auggie but just call him what you want him to be called - people should follow your lead.
I can understand wanting to use Clarke and I definitely think that it's a nice name. I wouldn't use Everett seeing as it is already your son's middle name.
I like Clive and Everett best
The only Augusts I've ever known have been girls...
Both my DH and I have friends named Clive. Both were born in the UK. My friend moved to the U.S. when he was two. DH's co-worker/friend lived in the UK until he was an adult. But I like the name.

Everett would be my favorite but not with the sib mn being the same.
I like Clive but weird with Vito
August is nice. I had one in class and he went by Austin. I like Auggie too for a nn if he has to have one. I also like jsut Gus.
Clark is refreshing to me and since it has family meaning, I'd choose that!
Three Girls: Bits 2/08 Biscuit 10/09 & Sweet Chuck 2/12
One Favorite son: Suishy Smalls 6/14
And another Princess coming 7/16
I really like August and Everett. My friend has a younger brother and his parents let him pick his (his little brother's) middle name - and of course, he picked his own first name, lol. So, it's kind of weird but I don't really think it's a huge deal or anything.
As for August, I wouldn't automatically shorten it to Gus. I would maybe do it more for a name like Augustus, where there is more emphasis on the "gus" part. That said, I totally get not wanting to use a name where you dislike the potential NN. This is the main reason we scratched Patrick off our list back in the day - I did not want any potential for the nn Pat.
I like Clarke and Willem.
Clive Hennessey-
Clarke Hennessey
Everett Hennessey
Willem Hennessey
I like Clive and Clarke in that order.
I'd avoid Everett since it is part of another son's name already.
