Oh Please please let this happen

DH wants to take DS over to Eastern Washington to go camping for the night Friday then home on Saturday. My SIL and BIL as well as some other friends will be there too. I can't believe I may get a night off and the house to myself. WOO HOO. Now I just need to figure out if I want to do something with other people or just stay home and veg.

Stay home! When DH took N camping last year I was opposed to it?so many things can go wrong (flash floods, cougars, little boys escaping tents in the middle of the night?but then I realized I?d get the house to myself for 24 entire hours.

I helped them pack.

Then again, I might be a horrible mother.

I was just trying to figure out how to get my whole family out of the house for the weekend and let me have it with my projects. I can't even imagine the last time I went through a day without having to help find someone's socks.

I said to DH "Now you don't have to buy me a Mother's day gift"

I am a bit worried too but it is a place we have been about 5 times before and DS will have the run of the place.

We have friends who have property on the river just outside of Winthrop WA.

That sounds like a dream come true!

When complaining about how I never get any time to myself, DH always offers to let me leave the house and go wherever I want. But what I want is for them all to leave and me to stay home all by myself.

I?ve had one overnighter at home alone and 2 weeks ago I stayed at a hotel alone. There are perks to both, but at least of the hotel there was no temptation to do housework or other chores.

That is tough! Stay home and relish in being home alone. (while NOT working) or going shopping, or to a movie etc, without having someone waiting on you to come home. Since you work from home, I can see how you might want to be with others. Tough given your situation.

i'd say let's go have a drink and see a movie, but S is going out with his friends tomorrow night.

You read my mind I was thinking maybe a movie or the Casino. Or SHOPPING.

Too bad S is going out. I don't have any other local gals to hang with

Get this, he will be gone sat too, because there is a Sounders game! Brrr.Sat morning for coffee or lunch is good though! I will double check on tomorrow night...maybe I can convince him to just go out after the game vs 2 nights in a row.
