How do you baby-proof a window sill?

DS has had 2 really bad falls this week - both on the hard, flat ledge & the corner. I tried placing barriers, blankets & pillows around them, but it's not good enough. 

How can I put a cover over something this awkwardly shaped?  It only sticks out about 1'' from the wall & is solid corian (i.e. kitchen & BR counter top material).
