We were just there for lo's 1 month appt yesterday. Last night, he was very fussy and gassy. I gave him mylicex (for the 1st time) and that seemed to help. At bedtime, he was again very fussy and didn't want to sleep in his bassinet (the co-sleeper). It was a very long night. He's normally a great sleeper. I took his temp at 7:30 am and it was 99.2. He was also sneezing a lot and coughed a few times. I took his temp again at 9:30 and it was 98.4. He's been eating fine and is finally calm and sleeping (but won't sleep in his rnp like usual. He's also making snorting sounds sometimes in his sleep.
Re: Call the pedi?
My non-medical advice is that he sounds okay and I don't think you need to call the pedi. DS has fussy nights and sometimes is stuffy, sneezy, coughy, and snorty. I asked the doctor about it at our 1 month and she said those were all normal. Even if he did have a little cold bug, there wouldn't be much they could do about it. Also, I think 99.2 is still considered within the normal range but if he does run a fever, you can call. Dr. MarchABC says take it easy today and try to snuggle or find another soothing activity.
PS. I love your siggy picture. He's such a cutie!
I agree with the PP.
The snorting sounds, sounds like acid reflux. My LO has a mild case of it, nothing to where she needs to be propped up to sleep but sometimes it sounds like shes congested and the Pediatrician said it was nothing to worry about.
