A very hairy pregnancy.

So I'll admit that I'm down to shaving my legs once a week, tops. But I swear, they're way hairier after one week than they used to be. Same with my pits (although those do get taken care of more than once a week). Anyone else notice this? Add to that the peachfuzz that's grown on my belly, and just call me Sasquatch.

My DH is a very lucky man. Smile

Re: A very hairy pregnancy.

  • I had more hair growing EVERYWHERE when I was pg.  And of course I was pretty lazy about getting it taken care of.  But, it all went away after the baby came!

  • I'll call you Sassy for short ;)
  • Yep, I was much hairier than normal too.  I only shaved once a week or so towards the end too.  It just took too much work!  And I had the belly fuzz too.  :P

When you're about 3 months PP, you get the reverse effect and all your hair starts falling out.  It's just lovely.

  • Yes, me. I put off shaving like for two weeks until Saturday, and found a spot I must have missed for like a month and it was not pretty. I have been tweezing like crazy too. I can't wait for all this to get worse!!

  • I am VERY hairy!!!! My belly especially.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who only shaves legs once a week. I started thinking I should do it twice a week "just in case", but I just don't have the energy nor can I bend over for that long!

And FWIW - I only shave "down under" before every appointment - which is like every 2 weeks now!

  • You go back to normal once the baby is born, but those pregnancy hormones coupled with higher potency vitamins can definitely produce much more body hair!

  • I've always had a ton of thick hair and pregnancy has made it a nightmare.I gave up shaving my legs more than once per weekseveral weeks ago because it takes way too much effort and I'm wearing pants all the time anyway. DH isn't thrilled but tough, I'm carrying the kid, he can deal with hairy legs. I've noticed the most hair growth around my eyebrows and it drives me nuts. I hate tweezing and I am having to touch up spots like twice a week sometimes. But, waxing has gotten more uncomfortable in the past few months and doesn't last as long anymore, so I just suck it up and bust out the tweezers. I

  • I think I must be the only one who had the opposite effect, I could shave my legs less when I was pregnant, it was so great! For some reason, the hair did not grow as fast. But as soon as I had Ashley, it was back to normal. Oh well, I probably won't get as lucky with my next pregnancy.
