did anyone get their crib bedding from any other cool place or website other than buy buy baby or babies or us? we are looking for something unique and different and have to decide soon because we need to get the nursery painted. i would say our look is more modern with birds or something nature inspired as a theme...thanks!

Not only did I not get bedding from a cool place, I didn't get bedding at all! I don't generally like theme-y type stuff like that and I won't be using most of it so it seemed like a waste of money to me. I just got crib sheets.

I searched high and low for something from a store before settling on Etsy. I'm just doing sheets and a crib skirt though. I found a seller that had the exact fabric I wanted and her prices seemed more reasonable than some of the other Etsy sellers. If you type in modern and bird lots of stuff will come up, just be sure to set aside a bit of time for browsing as it took me a long while to find what I was looking for.

Also I've seen the nature bird inspired bedding at dwellstudio but be warned, it is pricey.

We bought ours from pottery barn kids. I know a little more expensive but I used my credit card rewards points to get gift cards.:)

I got my bedding (crib skirt, sheets and changing pad covers) from babybedding.com. They have tons of options, including an option where you can design your own. They send you fabric samples as well. You can buy everything separately rather than a whole package which was really appealing to me as I did not plan on buying a bumper or big blanket.

I like looking at www.ohdeedoh.com for inspiration.

Like pp, we didn't get a bedding set. I just found some fabric I liked (actually, DH found it...) and my mom is making curtains and a crib skirt from it. I could have also asked someone on etsy to make them, but my mom is a good sewer (just really slow....she hasn't started yet!). We then got coordinating sheets in solid colors. We don't want to use bumpers, and my husband's aunt made a quilt that we hung on the wall for now.

I do not like theme stuff either, so I picked out fabric at JoAnn's and had my sister make a comforter and bumper. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted. If my sister didn't sew, I would have paid my friend's mom to do it. Still cheaper than buying something I wasn't totally sold on. I don't know how to include pics, or I would include what she made.

This. I have yet to buy anything, bedding wise, yet, since we plan to have LO in the PnP in our room for the first 1-2 months, depending. But I'm probably only going to be doing sheets and MAYBE a breathable bumper.
