NBC's The Voice
Did you watch it last night? I thought it was really good! I will always wonder if the judges wouldn't have picked a couple of them due to their looks, or if they would have picked others had they known what they looked like.
Also, did you think all of the judges were genuine with their comments? Some of it seemed forced - like the rivalry between Christina and Adam.

I liked it a lot! There were definitely a couple people that the judges clear wanted after turning around, I assume because of their looks. Let's face it - the "whole package" sells better, you know?
I wished that Christina would have shut up about Adam selling himself. It got old. Isn't that what they're supposed to be doing? I guess I didn't find it forced so much as just annoying.
I'm SO pulling for Javier Colon - he was awesome! And he was so cute with his little girls. Just seemed like a really good guy.

I've never watched a single episode of any of the singing competition shows..not even AI. I watched The Voice and loved it! I really like Blake Shelton so that is what drew me to it at all. He is a really, really funny guy so I thought it might be entertaining to see what he would say.
Like PP said I got annoyed with Xtina talking about Adam. Isn't the point to try and get the contestant to pick your team? I really liked the idea that they couldn't see the contestants and could only pick them for their skills.
The only pick I was surprised by was the first "country" type artist that was picked. I didn't think his voice was strong or sounded very good at all. I was surprised when 3 of the "coaches" turned around. But hey what do I know? I'm certainly not a professional.
After bashing it during all of the promos, I'm embarrassingly hooked!! I thought it was great!
I got a little tired of the "you're SO amazing" comments but realize that the coaches were trying to woo the contestant onto their team so of course they're going to give huge compliments over and over again.
I thought they did great hiding any disappointment they might have had about someone they did turn around for, and yeah, it cracked me up when they didn't turn around and then were kicking themselves when they saw the singer.
I love Javier, too!! Such a sweet guy (it seems) and his voice is awesome.
I watched and thought it was great! Ditto the others on Christina, but I think she was just trying to use it to her advantage to help her get chosen.
I am an AI and DWTS fan though!

Me too! Except I don't watch DWTS vote off show, I Just check before it airs or the next day.
I didn't get a chance to watch the entire show, my Realtor came over when I was only partly into it. I will probably rewatch it later. But thus far I LOVE it!
With all shows, I DVR and watch later and skip through commercials. With DWTS and AI I skip through performances not related to the competition.

All this for me too. Though, I broke up with AI last year.
