no milk?

So I've been reading so many posts since my "2nd tri board" times about women leaking milk, and other complaints related to that, well that got me thinking 1. my boobs didn't even grow, ok, a tiny bit, but not enough to even change my usual bras 2. they were never sore, let alone hurt 3. I've never leaked anything, and I have even tried to squeeze them and nothing. So now I'm starting to worry, should I worry I might not have milk? p.s. a patient of mine today she was only 20 weeks and was leaking!

    With my first, I did not leak, did not have soreness, and I never changed bra sizes. And I successfully nursed her until she was 19 months old, plenty of milk always!

    Leaking has nothing to do with successfully breastfeeding. The act of birth triggers a bunch of wacky hormones, and then the baby suckling does the rest. Just enjoy not experiencing something so inconvenient for now.

    i dont think mine have grown either and i've been a steady ugh.. G cup...!

    i mean when they are itchy they leak a bit.. but ya im not needing pads or have to change bras yet!

    I learned this yesterday (I feel so smart...)  Once you deliver the placenta it causes your progesterone levels to drop dramatically and that triggers milk production.

    I am so glad you posted this, because I was actually begining to worry about the same thing!  I am so glad I found the bump because it has such a wealth of mommy knowledge.  Thanks to all the May mommas for being so helpful!

    I never leaked and I have ginormous milk filled boobs now. Also, within the hour I gave birth I fed her and I had plenty of colostrum for her. Try not to worry. I was as well and it was unnecessary. I can feed her and pump at least an ounce when she pulls herself off.

    I didn't change bra sizes or leak at all during my first pregnancy.  I breastfed my daughter for over 2 years.  She never had as much as a drop of formula and was in the 90th percentile for a while, all from my breast milk.  I haven't changed bra sizes or leaked in this pregnancy either.

    If you look closely at your nipples, do you see anything that looks like tiny flakes of dry skin or white dots?   You may be "leaking" tiny bits of colostrum without realizing it.
