Not trying to convince you or anything, but of all the online stuff that's out there, pinterest is pretty benign.

They don't email you all the time (or, at all if you set it up that way) and you can do searches for specific things (ex. teacher gifts, blue rooms, dream kitchen, etc). Kinda handy, really. Also, it's a great place to collect all of your ideas in one place.
