One sided movement

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this.  I feel LO kick ALL the time, but it is really only on the left side & down the middle of My belly.  I almost NEVER feel movement on the right side.  It is starting to worry Me, but then I wonder if maybe it is just the way baby is laying.  I have a Dr appt on Friday so I figure I will ask then but I was just curious if anyine else has noticed this????

Re: One sided movement

  • I almost exclusively feel LO kicking on the right side and down the middle, VERY rarely on the left.  I remember the same thing with DD.  I guess my right side is my comfy side :)

  • I've JUST started feeling movements along the left hand side, and even then it's mostly during BIIIIG stretches. He's pretty comfy tucked up on my right side.

  • Most of my movements are on the right side. Just now she was pushing back at me. I don't think you have to worry as long as you are feeling movement at all. It is most likely the way she is laying in there. :)
  • When she was smaller I would feel her mostly on the right.  Now, I feel it almost always on the left or she does a jig in there and my whole belly shakes.  I only get BH on my left side too.

  • My LO hangs out only on the right; there is a visible difference in the way my bump is shaped.  They play favorites?

  • Yes, my LO is almost ALWAYS kicking a lot on the right.  Then I feel some movement below my belly button on the middle.  I asked the doctor on Monday and she said it's the way he's turned.  Feet are on the right side and then he kinda curves down to where his head is in my pelvis, so below the belly button is elbows/hands.

  • Hey!  My baby is head down and her butt/body is on the right and her feet are always on the left kicking me!!!  I haven't really felt too many kicks on the right just nudges where she sticks her booty out.

  • Most of the big movements are just under my ribs on the right, although I am starting to feel more in the same area on the left (maybe as she grows she's running out of room on the right).  I do feel movement very low on the left, and almost never on the right.

  • I was worried about the same thing, but had an ultrasound last week and they saw she was laying in a way that her feet were closer to one side.  Made sense once I actually saw how she was positioned.

that must be where LO's feet are. I suspected this and my ultrasound confirmed where her feet were. One side is her body and the other is her feet.

  • Mine is the right side - doctor says it is normal for the baby to be on one side.
  • Yes, all of my movements are on the left and up the middle. It's funny because this is exactly the same thing that occurred with my son and it left me with a lopsided belly..LOL My left side of my tummy is slightly bigger than the right side. LOL I guess the left side of my belly has a confy spot of kids. :)
