31 weeks .....starting to slowwww down

So ive been pretty active, and working out until now. Im finding it so much harder to get to the gym and its really starting to bum me out! I miss my energy and really dont want give up on the gym but it is getting more difficult since i just get so tierd. Im also scared of packing on lbs quicker - im at 22 so far, i was hoping to stay at 30 but i dont think thats going to happen.

Anyone else starting to slow down?

  • I am!!! But I'm determined to continue working out. When I'm feeling too tired to work out, I motivate myself by thinking labor is a lot worse!! I really feel empowered when I finish my 3 mile jog even if it takes me 40 minutes..haha. Good luck and try to keep going Yes

  • I'm there with you! I haven't been able to keep up my weight training and cardio as much over the last few weeks. I'm just exhausted, and it doesn't help that sleep is completely non-existent already. I'm just trying to continue eating well and going on as many mini walking breaks as I can during work.
  • I'm mainly just taking walks at this point. I walk 30 minutes a day at work (during my 2-15 minute breaks) and then DH and I do a 3-mile walk around the neighborhood just about every other evening. I'm going to keep this up as best I can until the end! I really believe it will help me get back into shape much more quickly after the baby is born and it's definitely helped keep my weight in check during the pregnancy.

  • I'm in the same boat--31 weeks, 21 pounds, trying to stay under 30.  I had a lull around 29 weeks,  but I'm feeling better now and my workouts are back in good shape.  The good news is that we don't have too much time left to gain weight, right? :)

  • I gave up at 31 weeks.  I was just too exhausted at the end of the day.  I'm a special ed. teacher and I'm moving / walking all day. 

    If I went to the gym I couldn't function afterward.  When I come home I usually have cleaning up to do and dinner to cook so the gym had to go.

  • I'm with you.  I usually do Zumba 3x a week, I only went once last week and was aching all night.  Didn't go at all this week.  And I really miss it.Sad
  • I've noticed this about 1 or 2 weeks ago! I would spend 3-4 hours walking around, window shopping and I'm tired by the end of the day!

  • I'm 33 weeks and yeah it has hit me hard too. I have modified things though, for example, I walk much slower now but I still put in a good 2-5 miles each day.

  • I am sleeping as much now as I did during my first trimester. I am still working out though, but what before was easy is really starting to kick my butt! Almost there, I can't wait to get back to the normal gym routine!!!
