Have a doula for free!
Hello mommies! My name is Emma DeVilbiss, a mother of a lively 19-month-old boy and fellow bumpie. I am a massage therapist and I am currently working on my certification as a doula through DONA. (www.dona.org) For those of you that do not know what a doula is, she is a woman who cares for the mother during labor and birth. A doula cares for Mom and is her support through contractions, labor, and breastfeeding. I am doing my first 5 births for free while I am completing my certification. Attending the births is my last step before I become a certified doula. In addition to labor support, I can also offer the knowledge of massage as a pain coping mechanism.
