tell me what to do re: car seats

Right now we have a Boulevard in each of our cars for K and then two infant bases for a Key Fit that Max is going to grow out of soon.


Would you:

- buy two more big seats, or

- put both of the Boulevards in one car and not use the other for kids unless you have to?

 

The tricky part is that we both have big cars: I have a RAV4 but I drive further for work and do not do daycare duty; DH has a four-door Tacoma that is gigantic and does do DC drop-off/pick-up. And, of course, going the second route means that if I ever have to somehow pick the kids up, I don't have seats for them.

    I would put both big seats in the car they use most often, and then get two Cosco Sceneras for your car.  The Cosco is a great seat, can be used RF for a long time, and also FF.  It can be had for really cheap so you could get two without going broke.

    You are welcome.  The dark or grey ones are usually more expensive but Walmart has one for cheap. And if you do pink for your daughter, those are always available somewhere for less than $40.

    My car's the 'kid car' and so it would have 2 seats and DH's car would have none (that's what we have now.  Only one seat and it's in mine) I wouldn't want to give up a whole backseat for "maybe sometime I'll have to pick up"  If that was the case, I'd swing by work, trade cars, and then get the kids.
